LONDON TRUTH

There are questions about London too. About 7/7 - our supposed terrorist attack.

Don´t take my word for it - do some research of your own.

Check out this 28 minute movie:

and check out this blog from Daniel, a Londoner that was on the bus that day who is not getting the answers to his questions. http://daniel77witness.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

Music for truth

Eminem is a 9/11 truther, he dares to ask the difficult questions and dares to bring this issue to public debate.

I´m alright Jack

I find today´s I and me, me and mine society a scary thing.

It is this that has led us to watch advert upon advert of African children waving flies from their eyes. It is this selfish mentality that sees homeless people in our cities and kids killing kids. It is this blinkered generation that is allowing lies to be told to us about events as significant as 9/11. It is today´s ignorant press (that we still buy!) that reports more about celebrity than peace, more about cosmetic surgery than pulling troops from Iraq.
We are a people who look after ourselves. We want what is best for ourselves and our families but this compassion and need for peace does not often extend further than that.

We can turn off the television displaying the African babies and we can avoid eye contact with the homeless, we do not question what we are told and we do not stand behind our endless complaints. We do not stand up in the way of public opinion because we want to fit in just fine thanks very much.

Collectively we turn a blind eye and stay uneducated.
Is it because we have TVs and jobs and friends and families and dreams and other things to keep us entertained? Do we need not be worried about the welfare of the place that our kids will grow up in because we are busy enough looking after them now? Is it so that we don´t have to act to save the world, because there are people who are paid to do that? Will you only start to take action if everyone else is?
Is inaction excusable? Does the responsibility for a better future not lie with us all?

Many theories have been coined and shared as to how and why we work this way. Its a topic I am researching at present and I will share my findings as I go. Any offerings or opinions would be very much appreciated!

We are what we say

An opinion is a person´s ideas and thoughts towards something. It is an assessment, judgment or evaluation of something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion

I have lived in the Netherlands for 3 years and have found myself adopting their mentality where freedom of speech is concerned. The Dutch are taught from a very young age that if something is in your head then you should feel free to say it. I have found this philosophy contradicts that of the British culture that I grew up in where we are taught to be polite and politically correct at all times.

I am of the opinion that truthfulness and compassion should be practised with this freedom of speech. I would like to stay honest and positive with my opinions - something that I am still learning. I guess you could see my personal philosophy as a perfect mix of Dutch and British ideals. Direct but polite. Freedom of positive speech.

Increasingly I am seeing that people would prefer not to share their opinions, or would prefer not to discuss ´heavy´ topics. What motivates people to feel that way? Is it a need for peace? A need for ´easier´ ´lighthearted´ conversation? Most people are not adverse to sharing their opinions on music or television or shoes. Why do the ´heavier´ topics need to be avoided?

Is it a lack of interest? Is it to avoid debate or disagreement? Is it a lack of knowledge on the topic? Is it the wrong time or the wrong place?

Ask yourself if you prefer giving your opinions on ´safe´ topics to sharing your opinions on ´serious´ ones. What if anything would you rather not talk about and why?

What is considered a ´heavy´ topic anyway? the 9/11 truth, religion, the war on terror, politics, health, immigration and conspiracy theories, education?
What are ´safe´topics? Pets, TV, music, fashion, surgery, celebrities, weather, weekend plans, decorating, holidays, family?
Who decides what is safe and what is heavy? Is it not passion and debate that separates the above?

We debate about fashion and celebrity but we don´t necessarily get passionate about them, we are passionate about our families and our holidays but these are not topic necessarily open for debate.

Passion and debate. Is this what we are avoiding?

I think these are things to be celebrated.

Be proud enough of the things you think to give them volume.

We are what we say, what are we if we say nothing?
